Design Engineer
Designer or Developer
Creativity has always been a part of my life. I've been fascinated by art and design as long as I can remember.
This interest led me to study communication design, initially with the goal of becoming a traditional graphic designer or illustrator.
During my studies, I discovered a new passion: Creative Coding.
This later brought me to study interface design.
The combination of design and technical expertise opened up a whole new world for me.
One, where a design does not have to end with an idea or concept. It can transition into a real interactive experience.
That’s also how I arrived at my personal motto:
“If I can think it, I can build it!”
As a student, I already began working as a UI/UX designer. A main part of my role was to turn client input into thoughtful and functional interfaces.
Later, I started using my experience in UX design to help optimize project workflows using a human-centered design approach.
But soon simply conceptualizing and designing wasn’t enough. I wanted to build as well.
That’s how I found my path into freelancing. I started working as a Design Engineer who seamlessly blends design and code.
I don’t only know how digital products should look, I also know how to make them technically feasible. This combination is the core of my work.
It’s also the reason why I share my knowledge and approach as a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam.
My goal is to create solutions that are visually captivating, technically bulletproof and realistically achievable within real-world project constraints.
I work with a structured approach without sacrificing any room for creativity. And by that, I find creative problems for complex solutions... or something like that.
